Chefbar invites you come taste Calgary’s newest Beltline concept. Inspired by Executive Chef Shaun Desaulniers, our philosophy is simple... we use quality ingredients that our team prepares with passion and serves to you. Explore our offerings of sharing plates, our diverse selection of Old and New World wines, to our hand crafted cocktails list, Chefbar features fresh ingredients used uniquely in every preparation. Nestled on 11th avenue in the Arts district, Chefbar boasts the Beltine’s best outdoor patio with the most sun in the city hosting up to 40 guests. Inside you will find 35 warm seats set in a contemporary setting.

While dining, join us downstair for a stroll through the Gerry Thomas Gallery. A gallery exclusively catered by Chefbar, the Gerry Thomas Gallery boasts a New York Style atmosphere with a selection of local and international artists rotating throughout the year. The gallery is proud to host events up to 240 people.

Chefbar is an all day local eatery, proud to put a focus on chef inspired food that rotates seasonally. Each and every component is cooked carefully with the utmost integrity….from our breakfast dishes to late night snacks. Join us and let us turn your day into an experience.

Shaun Desaulniers- Chef/Owner

Shaun started off cooking 27 years ago in Airdrie where he found his culinary passion. After an apprenticeship at some of the hot spots in the Calgary area including La Caille on the Bow, The Lodge at Kananaskis and The Palliser Hotel, he followed his ambition across the mountains to Vancouver where he held various positions at the Hotel Vancouver, Westin Bayshore and finally The Waterfront Centre. Shaun then came back to Calgary where he joined the Palliser once again as their Executive Chef. In 2005 he was asked to represent Canada in Scotland in the prestigious Scothot Competition where the Team won gold and was named world champions. After achieving his hotel goals, he decided to follow his entrepreneurial ambition and designed Belgo Brasserie as the managing partner creating the concept and successfully running it until its successful sale in the fall of last year. Now, back to his cooking roots, Shaun is excited to introduce you to his newest concept - Chefbar.

Brice Peressini- Liquid Chef

For ChefBar, is a liquid culinary artist. Creating a cocktail to him is more than just making a drink, it is making an experience. Brice takes an attention to detail to every drink which is noticed by the customer’s palate and eye. When he’s not behind the ChefBar bar, you can frequently find him competing with Calgary’s top bartenders in craft cocktail competitions. Brice’s favourite drink is an Old Fashioned, followed closely by a Negroni. Come on by for one of your own.
